RE: DETAILS - Says ex-jewelry - can see mark on rim at 3 o'clock position.  During this era it was common to take
uncirculated gold and place or mount in jewelry  -  would never know except for the cert -
see no circulation wear  -  otherwise this would be a well struck
(rare for D mint) and probably unc coin - The reverse has a gem look with luster
This is a rare in demand coin  Current Data shows total pop of 267 graded and anacs has
graded 44 with none mint state and only 3 better - Could have a top 100 coin here
Coin much better then pics  sharp strike and some luster evident - coin recessed in slab.

Coin this nice is undervalued as there have been very few recent sales  and the ones from years
ago were when gold and coins were much lower

a beauty with one minor almost unnoticeable flaw that without this would sell for $k's more
I consider it undergraded but it is what it is
