EARLY 20TH CENTURY POSTCARD OF PERFORMER AS THE FATHER IN "LOUISE" VG-

Description

This is a postcard from the early 20th century, depicted an unidentified performer in the role of the father in "Louise" (either the opera by Charpentier or a play of the same name). The postcard is French, with an identification on the reverse (see photos), and there is a pink note pasted to the reverse with the words "Pavlowa Ballet Inc." typed in English. The Pavlova Ballet toured the U.S. between 1912 and 1926, so this postcard probably dates from that period. The photo shows some small areas of a curious orange stain.
