    Description

JENNIE TOUREL publicity photo 1968 Jewish opera 1940s
This is a black and white print featuring JENNIE TOUREL, printed and distributed by Gale Research Co. in 1968. The photo was created for reference use and has been affixed to a piece of cardboard. PLEASE NOTE – it is not an actual glossy photo, it is a matte print (more subtle and neutral than a glossy). Moreover, it is a retired library piece that has been handled and utilized.
The picture measures approximately 6 x 8 inches, and the image shown is the actual picture, though the company logo has been mater-marked on it to prevent image theft (it doesn’t come like that, of course). The approximate measurement represents the actual dimension of the exposed image, though there may be a caption or short border surrounding it in most cases.
Jennie Tourel was a Jewish Russian-American operatic mezzo-soprano, known for her work in both opera and recital performances. She made her European operatic debut in Paris in 1931 and her American début at the Chicago Civic Opera in Ernest Moret’s Lorenzaccio in 1930. Her career at the Metropolitan Opera was brief -- she made her debut in May 1937, as Mignon, and appeared for a few seasons in the 1940s as Rosina, Adalgisa and Carmen…
    My Policies:
We offer several different shipping options and accept Paypal (and we do indeed combine shipping). We take pride in carefully packaging purchases -- almost always in bubble-wrap and/or specially-made boxes...
Customer satisfaction rules, and making sure customers conclude a gratifying transaction is what we aim for at Glass Eye Industries. We’ve been executing appraisals, working with liquidators and buying estates for well over two decades; we’re confident we know what we’re doing and we price fairly, based on availability, collectible-value and demand. All of our items are guaranteed -- to the best of our knowledge -- to be authentic and licensed pieces. In fact, we go to great lengths to accurately photograph, research and describe the items we sell.
We are very diligent -- with people checking product on the way in and the way out; however, on occasion, minute imperfections are sometimes unavoidable (hence, refunds can only be given in cases of complete misrepresentation).
We take feedback seriously… if you encounter a problem with your Ebay item once it is received, please contact us before leaving negative or neutral comments, and we will work through the problem. We always combine shipping, as we too are buyers (just like you!). We realize that postage prices have gone up substantially, as have the price of high-quality mailing envelopes and packaging materials; our shipping prices reasonably reflect that inflation. Please do not criticize and/or give us low marks for our “shipping and handling charges” after buying. If you do not agree with the shipping charge, simply do not buy. It’ll make it much easier for both of us...
